UPCOMING NEWS AND EVENTS

  • The state department continues to develop Program Reviews for Writing, Arts and Humanities, and Practical Living. According to state law, all schools are required to continue writing portfolios and writing at all grade levels as well as continued instruction in Arts and Humanities and Practical Living as provided in the Combined Curriculum Document that contains the Program of Studies and the Core Content. Please continue to focus on student learning. If we have high expectations and teach the curriculum, we will see student progress regardless of the type of state assessment given.
  • Teachers that implemented live scoring saw great progress in student learning according to MAP data and state assessment data. This is a strategy that involves a process of immediate feedback to students.
  • School Site Visits have been scheduled with principals for each school. Please mark your calendars. We are looking forward to discussions focusing on student learning, hearing about your sucessess, instructional needs, and the impact effective instruction is having on student progress.
